Palos Community Hospital Announces Women’s Day 2010 Line Up

Pamela Peeke, M.D., will be the keynote speaker at Palos Community Hospital’s ninth annual Women’s Day. Dr. Peeke is a New York Times best-selling author and an internationally recognized expert, physician and author in the fields of nutrition, stress and fitness. Her keynote presentation will provide participants with a three-point plan to begin a physical and mental transformation toward a healthier lifestyle that can be maintained for years to come.  

The theme of this year’s Women’s Day is “Your Image… More than Meets the Eye.” The event will include a variety of presentations, health screenings and demonstrations that will educate and empower women to make lifestyle changes for a longer, healthier life.

Women’s Day 2010 will take place from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, September 18, at Palos Health & Fitness Center, 15430 West Avenue, Orland Park. Other presenters include Yasemin Ozcan M.D., a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation, who will speak on an important supplement in which most Americans are deficient. Tabussum Hanif, M.D., a specialist in sleep disorders, will discuss common sleep disturbances in women, and Ophthalmologist Christopher Farley, M.D., will talk about eye health.

The event also will feature presentations on getting the most out of coupons, the art of decluttering, and the basics of social networking. Women’s Day costs $15 and registration is required. For more information or to register, call (708) 226-2300.
