Palos Community Hospital to Host Bereavement Education Program
Palos Community Hospital is offering its Bereavement Education Series designed for individuals who recently have lost a friend or a loved one and are having trouble making sense out of life.
Participants learn about the physical and emotional effects of grief, how to accept and express feelings, how roles change following death, and how to deal with holiday stress. The program also teaches coping skills and helps identify and develop support systems.
The six-week workshop will meet weekly from 3 to 5 p.m. starting Tuesday, September 21 through October 26. Registration is required by September 16, call (708) 923-4840. Palos Community Hospital is located at 12251 S. 80th Ave., Palos Heights.
