Palos Community Hospital's Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program is a comprehensive treatment program designed to help you make positive changes that last a lifetime! The program meets between three and four times per week, is offered during the daytime or evening. It is available for those with a chemical dependency or dual diagnosis (addiction and mental health) and includes:
- Abstinence-Based Recovery
- Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Education
- Practice and Development of Skills Needed to be Effectively Sober
- Powerful Motivational Techniques to Stop Self-defeating Behaviors
- Emphasis on Distorted Thinking and Self-Defeating Behaviors
- Prescription Medication Education
- Introduction of 12-Step Programs and Community-Based Self-Help Groups
- Family and Support System Involvement
- Individually Tailored Relapse-Prevention Plan
- Lab Testing to Reinforce Client Success
