Group Therapies

Group therapy is a powerful treatment option for mental health or substance abuse issues.

Using proven approaches, our therapists help you successfully change problem thinking, feelings, or behaviors in groups, such as the following:

Psychotherapy Group for Anxiety and Depression

Relying upon proven and powerful methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, this day or evening group can serve as a stand-alone treatment or as an adjunct to other outpatient individual or family therapy.

Recovery Group

For those who have made substantial progress in their chemical dependency treatment and would like to transition down after completing the Intensive Outpatient Program to a lower level of care, joining a Recovery Group may be the best option. This outpatient group therapy is a vibrant and productive treatment option, helping individuals to maintain and extend the progress they are making in a sober lifestyle.

Early Recovery Group

For those addressing their substance abuse problems at an outpatient level of care, the Early Recovery Group is an additional tool to support their efforts at achieving a successful recovery. This 90-minute weekly group, which is centered on eight separate topics, is designed to help clients attain the recovery skills they need to achieve abstinence, while they continue to work on their issues in individual and/or family therapy sessions.

Aftercare Group

Research shows that extending the support for a recovering person over a longer period of time improves the chances of achieving successful sobriety. Accordingly, upon completion of the Chemical Dependency or Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Programs, or the Dual Diagnosis track of the Partial Hospital Program, individuals will be eligible to participate in a free six-week course of continuing care designed to reinforce the successful application of recovery skills learned in the previous programs.
