Partial Hospital Program

Our Adult Partial Hospital Program is a structured outpatient service for those who need more intensive treatment for a psychiatric or dual diagnosis (those that have both a psychiatric and a substance abuse diagnosis).

If you are experiencing an intense emotional experience or challenging life situation, our Partial Hospital Program can provide you with the help and support you need to restore your ability to function at your highest levels. Participants, who must be at least 18 years old, take part in several therapy groups per day during a four- to six-hour time frame, and then return home, thus receiving the benefits of intensive care, while maintaining the comfort and security of their home. Partial Hospitalization can be used as a step-down program or follow-up to inpatient treatment, and works as a transition back into everyday life. In many cases, it also can be used as an alternative to hospitalization.

Providing a vigorous treatment experience and environment, the Partial Hospital Program is a highly productive alternative for those who need more structure and intensity than is found in standard outpatient therapy. There two tracks available are:

  •  Psychiatric, for those suffering from mental health symptoms alone.
  •  Dual Diagnosis, for those suffering from psychiatric and addiction/substance abuse issues.

Our approach incorporates best practices that include targeted psychopharmacology, powerful motivational technologies, skills-development groups, psychotherapy groups, occupational therapy, chemical dependency evaluations, dietary evaluations and family meetings. Under the direction of a board-certified psychiatrist, patients participate actively in a wide array of group therapies, as well as individual and family treatment

Treatment focuses on effective symptom management, and increasing emotional and behavioral functioning by means of practicing effective living skills and healthy choices. The Partial Hospital Program is an effective treatment for anxiety or depression, addictions, family conflicts, grief or loss, chronic illness, caregiver stress, and many other issues.
