Why can’t most of us follow through and make the sustained changes that really do matter to us? The answer is that sometimes we end up sabotaging our own progress. Join John Brogan, licensed clinical social worker, as he discusses the powerful forces that sometimes stop us from making the changes we want. You will learn ways to address these issues. Though applicable to many kinds of problems, the focus of this presentation will be on change issues related to resolving depression, anxiety, recurrent relationship issues, and addictions or bad habits. This will be an interactive workshop with participants being asked to identify to themselves a behavior they have trouble changing. They will receive guidance through several steps of identifying and addressing the outcome and process the resistance that has beguiled them.
